Renovation and Addition

This project is a renovation and addition to a cabin designed by Edwin Lundie in 1942.  The cabin had been renovated and added on to in the past.  At the request of the clients we began by removing the additions and executed all new work in order to maintain the qualities of the original design.  Based on this request all aspects of the design process were guided by research into Lundie’s body of work.  Detailing and material selection were especially important in supporting the integrity of the original design and were determined by investigation into existing conditions and available documentation of this and several other Lundie houses.
